Easy Inspect

Our Services

CDM Clients

As a duty holder, a CDM client must be sure that scaffold inspections are part of the construction phase H&S management programme, they must be confident that other duty holders are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities. By engaging the services of an independent specialist inspector, we can support CDM clients who may wish to carry out a review of standards at key milestones, or periodically throughout the lifespan of a project.

Main- Contractors

Have the legal duty to ensure there is an inspection regime in place, the responsibility to carry out the inspections can be ‘off loaded’ on to the scaffold contractor, however, the responsibility for the quality of those inspections and reporting procedures remain with the duty holder.

Our inspectors work closely with the main contractor site teams, we attend site and look for the issues and find solutions relating to scaffolding that the site team do not have the time or specialist knowledge to identify and solve themselves, we look to develop relationships with the SHEQ team, becoming an extra pair of eyes and ears. Furthermore, by employing our services you can be sure there is no conflict of interest (which can happen when employing the scaffold contractor) and be confident that we are there to support the site team and ultimately the people who employ us.

Scaffold Contractors

More frequently the scaffold contractor is being passed the responsibility of carrying out the statutory inspections and issuing the report (within 24hrs). This can drain the scaffold contractor of valuable resources and time, even more so if a particular site is outside of the scaffold contractor’s usual area of operation. Driving across a busy city, or into another county for an inspection can prove to be a cost, as can sending a qualified scaffold operative to inspect a scaffold instead of erecting meterage of scaffolding or driving an HGV to site. We are out inspecting every day, it could be that we can pick up the inspection and issue the report as one off holiday cover or on an ongoing on your behalf
